On Scams - Part 2Link copied!

I was in a long taxi ride today in Hyderabad and had time to contemplate about this incident that happened at Zurich airport a couple of days ago. I was about to enter the security check area and there was this relatively older guy claiming to be from the UK who stopped me and mentioned he is a tough time explaining his situation to the German speaking staff at the airport. He mentioned his card maxxed out and is getting declined and he is short of 40 CHF. I checked my wallet and had only 20 CHF, so I also gave him 50 EUR (That is almost 75 EUR in total) and said this should take care of his issue. He gave me an email ID to which I sent an email and we parted ways. So far there is no acknowledgement nor a mention about how he will be returning the funds. This is making me upset and sad as this makes me defensive and not really want to help anyone in need in public places. I am convinced he is a scammer and what a weird way to scam people at Zurich airport. I wonder how much he would be earning in a day!
