My close friend contracted Dengue and is suffering right now not too far away from where I'm writing this post. He moved from the USA to India just a couple of months ago, after living there around 8 years. He sent a voice note yesterday asking me and another friend who just moved to India to be more careful with the mosquitoes and the possible diseases here in general. Not sure how our immunities are, but thankfully I survived my first week without any illness.
Today I went shopping at a mall in Hyderabad and observed a few interesting patterns. While the apparel with western brand logos cost pretty much the same or in fact more than how much I spent in the USA. I barely bought clothes in Switzerland. Too expensive! My go to places were H&M and New Yorker (which got shut down in 2024) in Zug during emergencies. On the other hand, western branded food is almost priced like Indian street food. I took this picture of Burger King offering two crispy chickens for under 1 CHF, where in Switzerland it would be close to 20 CHF.
Tomorrow all day I will be in transit to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Will post the next journal article above the clouds I guess.
