Took an early morning flight to San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca from Buenos Aires and got welcomed by cold and rainy weather. Looking at the landscape, it looked like Catamarca does not get a lot of rain. Saw a few gardens full of olive trees. Checked in at the hotel and headed to El Rodeo for a lunch and came back to the hotel. The entire region nearly shut down between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM for an afternoon nap called siesta. I took a nap too, but did not wake up until the next day 4:30 AM :) Must be the jet lag and recovery from a 24 hour long flight journey.
