I took part in the prema ratha yathra (love chariot tour) of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Machilipatnam together with my family. The chariot is adorned with quotes like "Love all, serve all", "no discrimination based on caste or religion". The flag associated with Sri Sathya Sai Baba is known as the Prasanthi Flag which symbolizes the unity and harmony of all world religions and the core spiritual values of humanity.
It was interesting to see how this ratha yathra seemed to use the standard template of every other group in India that wants to stand out of the crowd. I may have ruptured my ear drum due to the loud speakers blasting devotional songs into the open air. The event was a success.
