Took the outer ring road of Hyderabad to go to BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus. It is a lush green campus and was not as crowded as VIT university where I studied back in 2005-2009. I spent the whole day with the HR person filling numerous forms. I'm glad they are considering digitizing the whole process, as a lot of the tasks to be done are redundant.
I got a glimpse of how my work life will be in Hyderabad, although my work will be mostly at the office in Hitech city. The people at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus seemed nice. It will be interesting to see how much support the leadership can show for a faculty startup. My expectations are minimal.
