If you like to go to ETH Zurich main campus from Zurich HB, get off the tram at Centrale station and walk towards Polybahn station and take the historic two minutes ride up to ETH Zurich. Started in 1889, and going through numerous technology and infrastructure overhauls, Polybahn still serves commuters to and fro ETH Zurich. Apparently, Einstein took this route while studying at ETH Zurich between 1896 and 1900. Make sure you have a valid ticket as this service isn't free. I just started my day after a nice fried gyoza meal at Mensa Polyterrasse. Off to work now.
